Burglary Near You -HEIDELBERG ROAD, Toller Ward

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Heidelberg Road, this occurred  on Monday 19th October between 2015hsr and 2030hrs. 

Between the times stated, an unknown suspect, who is not known to the victim, approached the rear of the property and snapped the lock on the back door in an attempt to gain entry.

The suspect successfully gained access to the address but was disturbed by the victim inside the property and immediately fled the scene. No further details regarding the suspect are available at this time.

Residents are reminded to remain vigilant, ensure doors and windows are secure, and report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhood. If you have CCTV, doorbell footage, or any information that may assist enquiries, please contact West Yorkshire Police via 101 or report online, quoting the relevant incident number.

Crime Prevention Advice:

Stay alert and look out for your neighbours, particularly as the darker evenings approach.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between 2000hrs and 2040hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

As a precaution, please check that your door locks are secure and correctly fitted. We recommend anti-snap locks with a 3 Star rating, certified to either TS007 or SS312 standards. These locks are available from many locksmiths and security providers.
